Making music, living globally, and learning new languages make her heart leap. The almost-polyglot and daily Duolingo fiend enjoys a good Nancy Meyer film backed by a Hans Zimmer soundtrack. April enjoys partnering alongside her husband, Dr. Stephen V., to help people in matters of life, leadership, and purpose.

The founding

Landing On Purpose was birthed in 2016 when April searched for a simple strategy to rewrite her professional biography. Instead of a list of accomplishments and an ego-driven narrative, she wanted her story to convey mission and meaning. Through her research, April discovered five common denominators of a life of purpose. She transformed her discoveries into tools, frameworks, and strategies that coach others to achieve clarity of mission, message, and decision-making. Landing On Purpose has impacted nearly 1200 changemakers thus far, through coaching, professional development, and workshops.

“Helping people move their professional lives forward inspired me to develop an effective tool to examine my personal life. The Landing On Purpose method helped me craft a clear personal mission statement and change the course of my life and decision-making. Now, I’m helping others achieve the same.”

“The experience was helpful in allowing our A-Team time to step back and reground ourselves in our purpose. It’ll surely help us align as a team and continue to build cohesion amongst our team as well.”
