Standing in the Gap

Standing in the Gap

Purpose is global. Discovering your mission can take you places and bring you to audiences who will benefit from your solutions, messages or initiatives. 🪴

Taking a holiday is meaningful to your mission. In fact, rest is a value of Landing On Purpose. Just before my holiday in Brazil, I was pleasantly overwhelmed with bright ideas and creative direction. I felt so inspired to execute some of these ideas just before my flight. Perhaps because I knew I would be taking time to relax and rest away from work. 🇧🇷

But upon my return, I was nostalgic for the holiday, wanting more, wishing it could be extended. You see, the temptation is to push ourselves back into the work. But I believe there is a “gap space” between the retreat and the work where reflection is in order, where it’s important to not jump right back in, but rather reflect and consider; ask God what has been gained from the rest. Rather than resume the task list created before your break, listen and discover what is the next step now that you’ve returned. Is there a new direction?

I thoroughly enjoyed this holiday and the places I saw, the people I met. I look forward to Landing On Purpose serving global audiences and supporting the work of mission in distant lands.
